Roborn exchanged thoughts with Prof. Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, at the “Vision and Momentum of Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Development Tea Party”

"Vision and Momentum of Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Development Tea Party” was held by the “New Era Governance Research Centre” at Tsim Sha Tsui on 25 March. Mark Mak, co-founder and CTO of Roborn, joined the party as a host of the dialogue session with 2 other guests. Prof. Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, was invited to the party as well. They shared their opinions on Hong Kong’s latest technology development with other participants.

Prof. Sun Dong introduced the development path and strategic plan of the “Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Development Blueprint” at the party. He stated that a lot of tech companies from mainland and the world would like to build their teams in Hong Kong. With the bright future of the industry, the demand for technology experts is growing rapidly. He encouraged entrepreneurs to recruit more talents to fasten the process of Hong Kong being an International Innovation and Technology Hub.

The dialogue session is hosted by Mark Mak from Roborn, Ken Lee from the I.T. People Association of Hong Kong and Eddie Cheung from HKtag. They interchanged ideas with Prof. Sun Dong on 3 topics respectively: (i) How could technology be beneficial to the public, (ii) How could local talents be cultivated and developed; and (iii) How could interdisciplinary technology applications be promoted.
