Today, Commissioner of Customs and Excise of Hong Kong, Ms. Ho Pui-shan, Dr. Chan Kin-keung, and Honorary Dr. Mak Hin Yu, Chairman of “Customs YES”, jointly officiated at the launching ceremony of the “YES Buddy” intelligent robot. “YES Buddy” is the first 5G AI promotional robot of the Hong Kong Customs. Led by Dr. Mak Hin Yu and his team, members who participated in the “Innovation and Heritage: Customs YES Robot Workshop” collaboratively designed the robot’s appearance, conceived its functions, and programmed it, embodying the creativity and practical implementation of this STEM learning initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Equipped with technologies such as artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and machine learning, “YES Buddy” can instantly respond to inquiries from the public about Customs work and “Customs YES,” and provide information on membership applications and events. In addition, its database also covers national security knowledge.
