Joey is an AI-powered educational robot developed for The Education University of Hong Kong to enhance learning in over 40 kindergartens and primary schools from 2024 to 2026. Joey fosters social communication skills through interactive tools for rapport building and encourages creative expression with AI-supported story retelling. Through natural language processing (NLP), speech-to-text capabilities, and English speech recognition with visual feedback, Joey provides an engaging, multi-sensory storytelling experience that makes language learning interactive and immersive for young students.
